Foundation · early preview
A public home for the SeedSpec protocol.
The SeedSpec Foundation maintains the protocol and the rules for changing it. It keeps that work separate from the companies and products that build on SeedSpec.
What belongs here
Maintain one public protocol
The specification, conformance rules, releases, and change history belong in a public record.
Publish how decisions get made
Roles, decision rights, release policy, and conflicts of interest should be explicit and inspectable.
Keep products separate
The Foundation does not sell hosting. Every implementation, including seedspec.ai, works from the same published specification.
The governance model is not finished. Whether the Foundation ultimately owns the protocol or stewards it on someone else's behalf is still an open decision. The answer will be documented here.
Three sites, one protocol
seedspec.dev
The format, schemas, reference tooling, and machine-readable documentation.
